WHO WE ARE
We are a group of South Sudanese American refugees dedicated to maintaining our cultural heritage in our newfound home. We desire to remain united and intend to share our talents, gifts, and resources to support our community and advocate for our families across the diaspora.

At ECA we are all about community. Our community comprises of all of us—our parents, children, grandparents, uncles, aunties, and friends. We may come from various regions, but we are all one. Unity is our strength.

For some of us, the thought of community brings the comfort and support that we left behind in our country. For others, it brings frustration and disappointment because of the loss we experienced. Regardless of where we might fall along the spectrum, there is one thing we can all agree on: at one time or the another we all have hoped for more from the community.

Our core values speak to who we are and who we aspire to be: Compassion, Service, Responsibility, Respect, and Sportsmanship. When we exercise these qualities as a community, we impact our families in positive ways.

We all should be intentional about creating a vision for community, about becoming strong and having unity among all Equatorians in Missouri. That is what ECA is for, and we hope our message will motivate you to grow the community you want to have.
